With this presentation, Jennifer will unpack these and other related social science research findings and examine their potential impacts on the estate planning process. Topics covered will include best practices for client engagement regarding nontraditional family structures, drafting for flexibility in fiduciary selection and anticipated changes in a trust’s beneficiary pool, and the importance of testamentary charitable transfers to a childfree client’s legacy. This is an intermediate level program.\n \n\n \nJennifer B. Goode is a National Director of Bernstein Private Wealth Management’s Institute for Trust and Estate Planning in the Washington, D.C. office. Her articles about tax and estate planning have appeared in numerous publications, including the ABA’s Real Property, Trust and Estate Law Journal, Bloomberg’s Tax Management Estates, Gifts, and Trusts Journal, and Practical Law, and she was recently recognized as Bloomberg Tax’s 2023 Estates, Gifts, and Trusts Tax Contributor of the Year.
